LOGO & BRANDING
Activar Inc. Logo Redesigns
These redesigns were intended to maintain the spirit of the original company logos while modernizing them and creating a cohesive aesthetic when the companies were presented together.
There were three main brands, J.L. Industries, Air Louvers and Hiawatha under the brand Activar Construction Products at the time I worked there. As the company wanted to unify the sub brands, I redesigned the Air Louvers logo under the same principles as the other two, a bold black shape, a stylized white letter, but wanted to maintain the bending air movement of the companies namesake.
I did not design the J.L. Industries or Hiawatha logos. The Hiawatha Logo was a logo dating back to the 1950s and the name and logo have now been discontinued, but was still active at the time I worked there and is provided as context for the work I was requested to do but is not an endorsement of the logo or it’s use.
The original Circuit Chemistry Equipment logo was difficult to use as small sizes and for company branding such as embroidery.By simplifying the logo it allowed the circuit imagery of the original to be more prominent.
It was requested to keep both the CCE and full name by management, so I used the existing yellow and white to allow them to coexist while reducing the amount of visual clutter the original had when is
Another logo simplification to allow for more use cases of the logo, while maintaining the existing logo’s identity.
